Hallelujah Ministries International

The story of this ministry is one of dedication, courage, sacrifice and love. It began in the sprawling township of Chatsworth in the city of Durban, South Africa in 1993, when its founder, the Rev. Jessie Nades, felt God's call to go and make disciples.

Pastor Jessie, as he is known to the people he ministers to, saw that in spite of great numbers being saved, few were really being discipled. Due to a lack of dedicated teachers of the gospel, spiritual growth was slow in most of the believer's lives.

After some time of prayer and waiting, God led Pastor Jessie to an ailing Church of less than twenty people. It was in this Church that his vision and call was tested and tried. It took every ounce of dedication and courage together with God's help to bring this ministry to where it is today. He renamed the Church, Hallelujah Temple, to fit with his vision and the Church started to grow under his leadership.

At first the vision of this ministry was only to start churches as institutions of Christian learning, but soon the lord gave Pastor Jessie a vision for evangelistic mission work as well. Today the ministry has grown to include many different facets. Being a ministry which is based on prayer and fasting, it has kept the original vision of its founder, which is disciplining of the saints. The entire ministry is centered on Christ Jesus, with a disciplining and missionary vision for the nations of the world. It is set on two foundational scripture texts, Romans 12:2b – Be transformed by the renewing of your mind and John 8:32 – Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Hallelujah Temple

Hallelujah Temple is an International Assemblies of God Church, located in the centre of the sprawling township of Chatsworth in Durban, South Africa. Ideally positioned for meeting the needs of the Chatsworth community, Hallelujah Temple has a warm accepting atmosphere and great hospitality. It was founded in 1979 as the Pentecostal Revival Church by the late Pastor Samuel Munsami Naidoo (1921-2003). Due to old age, Pastor Samuel handed the reigns of the church to the Rev. Jessie Nades in 1993. The name was then changed to Hallelujah Temple.

Hallelujah Temple is a contemporary, dynamic and relevant church where the teaching is practical, biblical and motivational so that people of all ages, races and walks of life can easily apply its success principles. We rely on the power of God and the presence of God is tangibly experienced in our services. At Hallelujah Temple it's not church as usual. We connect the timeless truths of Christianity to the people's interests and concerns and present them in fresh and practical ways.
